Sad as it is, it's really the reality of some game trailers.

At least it doesn't fall in Commercials :x >:)

At least two people don't understand the meaning of this comment. The purpose of a commercial is to sell something. Now you know that you get far less. And the purpose of this video isn't to sell Star Craft, at least make it less impressive than the producers want you to think it is.

Game trailers? More like Game cinematics were made to be amazing lol the gameplay is never as such unfortunately this is nothing new though. Making a game into Cinematic would be really expensive, there are some games that do have cinematic that are accommodated by great gameplay.
Naughty dogs has game as such as Uncharted is one of the few. There are also plenty of amazing looking games coming out next year. Along with Final fantasy 15 is one of the games that looks amazing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn-HJCH8j9I is an example that had footages used as game trailers and looks like the game.

Square enix also showed off what 4 titan x directx 12 techdemo called witch
chapter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpDdOIZy-4k, Its incredible what people are going to push in gaming in the future with dx12 with the advancement of technology and how fast its going.

It's all perception we all know what starcraft looks like already, the cinematic is to add that extra UMPH to the story telling of the game. Even then a match of intense and competitive starcraft does not look like that but can be way more exciting. It's a reason why the game is so damn popular as an esport.

In the future if you wanted a game to look like the cinematic such as this I can imagine it being a third person type of game. When that technology exist, games will blow our minds out such as this cinematic (because its going to happen). For now though blizzard is going to try to blow us away with a warcraft movie coming out next year and then in a few year a possible game that is on par with their cinematic itself.
More polygons = more power, more memory, more more more
More = Realism
The amount of rendering that went into the cinematic is incredible if you understand what was done.

Sad thing is that yes this is the reality for now, but very soon its going to be the reality.
