lol! That was great :P

(side note, heads up to the admin: Videos now load with the play button on screen, as if they are meant to only play once you click that, yet they play automatically still anyways) Its kinda annoying, now you have to click that to make it go away, and then click again to pause it till you're ready to play it. Not sure if this is happening to everyone or just me, but felt it was worth pointing out.

#2 but there were no women present :P

#3 it's hit and miss for me. Some videos, some days, autoplay even in a background tab. Others patiently wait until I click the play button, and I only need to click once. It's strange that it seems to change again and again.

I got down voted on THAT comment? Looks like some of my other recent comments have generated some spiteful fans.. Oh well, C'est La Vie

#5 it's because you dared to comment on the annoying/broken autoplay function. Someoen is really touchy on the subject.

I really do feel like this stone guy some times. Specially when you see something going wrong and do the effort to prevent it without the unlucky bastard knowing what's coming... and then the bastard starts questioning your actions and reasons without listening or noticing the upcoming...

so you step aside and watch the runaway train hit where it may
the awesome joy of saying: told you so

idfc, let em down-vote ALL my comments, i don't give a shit about my comment rating. I'll speak my mind and stand behind my posts regardless.. Funny thing is, the turds that do down-vote would be all cheery and supportive if I was speaking on behalf of their country, even tho the things I say stand up for all people of any country.. Its a universal philosophy / mentality.. Treat people with respect and compassion.. I feel sorry for those that weren't raised better, and taught to do the same.

And if they down-vote this one, just bc i mentioned the broken video player, well, thats just ignorant..

(yep, am basically fishing for down-votes now.. bring em on.. see how little i give a fk)

#8 It was me who down-voted you on #3 :squirrel:don't be mad at me...at least I'm honest..it has nothing to do with you personally at all though , I can assure you..and I up-voted you on #5 and #8...and many other comments of yours in the past, like the "Mysteries of the human body" video comments..etc.I don't mind telling snotr users why I up or down-voted something...often I don't vote at all...

So what then was the reason #9? I complimented the video, as the others above me had. And then i attempted to bring something to the attention of the mods because I'm pretty sure its not supposed to play while the play button is in front of it as if its meant to be paused by default..

How can I not take offense to that when the other comments praising the video weren't also downvoted. Surely you don't have a problem with trying to get the site to work properly

Esp in light of all the other shit I've been in the thick of recently.

#10 Of course the video was great, and I didn't down vote your comment for that part.
It was the second part I down voted, even though you said it in a very nice way, but because I feel the admin already knows about the problems with the player, since it had been mentioned before, and will get to it when time allows and the down vote was a little in his defense...I hope this makes sense.
I know it feels harsh sometimes when you get down votes and have no clue what was going through the voter's mind, that's why I wanted to be honest and explain the reason..sometimes I wished we would know the reasons of the down votes...it would be very interesting.
Alsol sometimes there is a conflict because the comment, like yours, has two parts, but you can't vote on them separately and when I down voted your comment for the second part it even went through my mind that I didn't like to down vote the first part along with it which was great...ugh..it gets complicated sometimes, and believe me I do put thought into my up and down votes just like everyone else does too, I'm sure..and this is turning into a philosophical dissertation, lol...hope this shed some light on it though and hope it will get better soon whatever you're going through... okay now off to work, have a decent day! :) :squirrel:

it really accomplishes nothing to down vote a comment about the player.. if they were aware of it, they could simply move on to reading the next comment. they have "adjusted" it a few times, so they may not of necessarily been aware of this particular situation being a byproduct.. for all either of us know, they thought they had already resolved the issue with one of the earlier tweaks.. Theres no harm in bringing it up again for good measure.

But if enough people down vote such comments, the comment will get hidden and then they may NOT read it, thus not be informed in the event they didn't already know.

So actually, down-voting comments about things that could contribute to helping the site run smoother, does more potential harm than simply bringing it up again ever could.

also, there was no need to defend a mod, I wasn't attacking anyone, i was simply pointing out an issue for their benefit, just in case.

Appreciate your take on this #12..I did not indicate there was any harm in your comment at all, and I also did not indicate that you attacked anyone because I know you did not..
But actually all snotr comments are read, all of them..
At the end of the day I only answered your question in #5 :)

Well TS, i did say "potential harm" bc lets face it, unless your a mod, that's not a certainty you can claim with any fact behind it. Am curious though, why bother down voting someones willingness to try to assist? I just can't wrap my head around it..

IF the player worked fine for me, and I read that post, then i MIGHT OF down voted it, to indicate that it isn't still broken for me, but otherwise, I'd just leave well enough alone, as its between the poster and the mods at that point.. Pretty sure the mods can handle themselves, don't need a 3rd party getting involved.

Maybe there's something I'm missing, like a mod having claimed to check each and every post or something. But is said mod still around if so? Do they still hold that same standard? Or could it be something else, like u know a mod in person, and have some personal vestment..

You didn't directly indicate i attacked anyone, but.. Unless someone is attacked, they don't require being defended, as you said you were doing. You acknowledge I didn't attack anyone, but u said "in his defense", which implies I did. Bit of a contradiction. Dropping it tho, as Im pretty sure the words you meant were "on his behalf"

#14 Yes as you said, in "someone's defense" does not mean defending an attack but just "on their behalf"...not a big deal. Btw, do you see how much I also get down voted? Just sayin'... ;)
