#(removed comment) as im sure you have heard this many timee but you cant blame an entire group of people for the actions of some. these people that are doing it should be individually blamed and btw its not certain that its muslims yet. yes there are a lot of messed up muslims with bad intentions but theres soo many more innocent muslims that wouldnt ever do such a thing. is it fair for those innocent and kind muslims to be labelled as terrorists? I do understand where you are coming from though as i have heard some bad plans muslims have but that does not mean all of them are bad

#2 witnesses report that in the time they were attacking, the terrorists were yelling "for Syria!" and " Allahu Akbar".
I have friends and even relatives that live in that zone where the attacks took place. The friends I have there told me they are ok, but I couldn't contact my relatives yet... I hope they are ok...

This is barbaric. Absolutely horrific. I think now is the time for anger, pain, compassion for those we lost. But I find it really hard to hear things like #5 "world wakes up and starts fighting back against extremist mindset"... Its such a messy, complicated world, when I hear things like that its hard not to see a cycle going round and round. I dont know why this happened or who is responsible. I dont know what they believe and what got them to believe it. We must punish those responsible. But to lash out blindly or take this as an excuse to rally for war like iraq after 911, just perpetuates this cycle of violence... but what do I know...

Thank you Geekster for pausing snotr for a moment of thought for this extremely sad event and your support for France. We too so hope your relatives are safe, please let us know.
I also agree with #6 and #2, muslims just as Christians and other religious groups have small pockets of extremists, but the rest are people like you and I with friends and families that live a normal lives, and it is so unfair to say that all muslims are bad and have bad intentions, nothing could be further from the truth..
I work with quite a few muslims from various middle eastern countries and they are kind and wonderful people, they have nothing to do with extremist groups, it's like calling all Germans Nazis during the Hitler regime or calling all post civil war southern white males ku klux klan members, again a small group of terrorists, but not reflective of the general population.
Like #2 and #6 said the individuals need to be made responsible, fighting generally makes no sense and will make the whole situation worse. Regarding #(removed comment) and #5, I have no words!
And as Gringo said Vive La France!

#5 Yes that's right. More people preaching acceptance to all is definitely not what we need right now, oh no.

From all French people, I wanted to thank all snotr users for their support.
It's terrible, there is no word to put on those acts. I've just passed the last few hours contacting everyone I know in Paris. Of course we are under the shock but one word echoes : we will stay strong.
We will never bend in front of terrorism and extremism.
We will arise stronger and defend the values of liberty, equality and fraternity no matter the cost because tonight wasn't a crime against France but against humanity and humans values themselves.
So thanks again for your words.
From Paris.

I think the only thing that we need to start preaching is non acceptance of preaching. Anytime you give someone the Word of the One True God and then give him a gun, someone is going to die. Radical armed Christians do it here in the US and Europe, (and did it everywhere else over the last 2 millennia) and Islamists do it, well, pretty much everywhere currently. These fairy tales and magic stories need to be ridiculed into nonexistence like they should be.
You're born, you live, you turn in to worm food. That's pretty much it, and the only salvation is to know you did something positive in your life to make the world a better place before you leave it and go back to being dirt.

#7 My mom finally managed to contact my relatives, and they are all ok thank God!!! But still, I feel so bad for the ones that died and the injured ones
Also, not 12 hrs apart from the events in Paris, another terrorist attack took place in Bayreuth, killing lots of people.

I'm (almost)lost for words this morning. Terrorism like this will never go away. You can win a country war bring it to it's knees economically but terrorists are everywhere. They say you are never more than a few metres away from a rat and it's just the same with terrorists. If you live in a city I can guarantee you are within a very short distance away from someone who has or is developing these ideals.
This murder spree in Paris in the second in ten months it's not a matter of 'if' it happens in other cities in Europe and around the world but 'when'.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, you cannot punish these individuals because they aren't for capture. As with the individuals in this case in Paris they blow themselves up because they think they are going to paradise. (This is not the time to make jokes but perhaps that's where they thought they were going when they turned up in PARadISe dyslexic and murderers).
No right thinking person wants to die, unless you are in constant pain or desperately depressed. Right minded people will look at the world realise that you have a likelihood of 80 years (ish) to spend your life and most people appreciate that and make the most of it. These extremists don't think that way (Google the Rapture) they are not satisfied with living their lives as nature demands they want to live forever in paradise with a varying quantity of virgins and the quickest way to get there is to die killing the enemy the unbelievers in their eyes. You tell me because I would love to know how you fight that?

#19 Although I agree with your opinion MiniCray, and that's why I up-voted you, I do disagree that #(removed comment)'s comment should be removed. How can we recognize those with the hate and anger against one whole population or country, if we don't let them express their opinion.

You dear #28 are a really clever guy. Always think for yourself, never get influenced by Media or stupid people. Wish i was like you. Wait, no, that was someone else. If 1570000000 People on this planet were in fact terrorists they would overrun everything in their path. Cant believe how many people actually are braindead enough to think muslims are the problem. There was this christian extremists in the us that hit their children with whips. Lets kill every american christian as a response to that.
