Don't do this at home. They really shouldn't light of using Helium as it can be dangerous due to the risk of asphyxiation from lack of oxygen. ![]()

#10 Normal is so extremely cliché.. Instead of normal, why don't you call yourself 'average'?

#2 Helium only displaces oxygen. A breath of *pure* helium would be like not taking a breath at all. You can breathe helium pretty much till you pass out without any real danger, since a single breath after that would clear it all up. With a mask like they used in the video, you could breathe helium indefinitely and get a dizzy spell at worst.

@#17 Advice like that could get someone an early grave. Helium is heavier than air and if you passed-out with your lungs full of helium you would probably never be able to take another breath of air unless someone pressed on your chest to expel the helium. Atmospheric pressure could then fill your lungs with air.

Correction , since helium is LIGHTER than air, if you passed-out in a prone position the helium would tend to remain in your lungs unless someone pressed on you to expel the gas, allowing atmospheric pressure to refill your lungs. ![]()
