I cannot condone such severe tree pruning.

There's a pretty busy one of those a couple miles from here, which you can see in this animated GIF:

The New Jersey State Fair has a chainsaw carver every year, too. Needless to say, the work isn't cheap.

I bet this guy can trace his ancestors all the way back to the guy who scratched animal shapes on a cave wall :)

First and foremost where are his safety goggles while working with the chain saw? Glasses don't suffice.
Love watching the wood come alive with the animals, truly enjoyable to watch..the result is amazing.
Music anyone please...don't have Shazam right now....thx

Those cats wear too much makeup.

Other than that, I like it a lot. I think "timelapse" should be a category of its own.

#7 I doubt you could work to that accuracy wearing safety goggles, sometimes you just have to take the odd splinter in the eye for your art. >:)

#11You're probably right about the precision of the art work, just goes against my grain to see someone expose themselves to a risk like that, but of course I noted the down-votes and I assume they are because of that part of my comment.. I do understand though that to an excellent artist like the man in the video it is worth the risk. So we're okay. :)
