Cool visual effect; but as we all know laws are made to be broken or at least bent a little.

I don't think the reverse time is real. There are waves that go 'in' to form a drop and raise from the 'water'. I cannot explain that...

the strobe is set so that it catches the movement in a patern that looks like it's in reverse...like when you look at a car's wheels as it accelerates and they appear to slow, and then go in reverse. This is caused by looking at "skipped frames".

this also comes very handy in a party sense. set the strobe to the same frequency as a fan so it looks like the fan is not on and then tell some one to stick their hand in. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH >:)

Okay, let me explain this.
If a 4-bladed fan fully rotates in 2 seconds (going clockwise), then every half a second it will look the same. So, if you are only able to see it every half second, you will not see that it is moving. However, if you see it every 7/16 seconds, it will appear to be going counterclockwise.

I know, most of you already know this, but a few people probably don't get this, so I thought I'd explain.

Also, sorry if it's supposed to be 9/16 seconds, I'm in a very chaotic enviroment right now.
