this also comes very handy in a party sense. set the strobe to the same frequency as a fan so it looks like the fan is not on and then tell some one to stick their hand in. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Okay, let me explain this.
If a 4-bladed fan fully rotates in 2 seconds (going clockwise), then every half a second it will look the same. So, if you are only able to see it every half second, you will not see that it is moving. However, if you see it every 7/16 seconds, it will appear to be going counterclockwise.
I know, most of you already know this, but a few people probably don't get this, so I thought I'd explain.
Also, sorry if it's supposed to be 9/16 seconds, I'm in a very chaotic enviroment right now.
