Texting while driving is really a giant problem. The police need special units to just look for people who are texting. he fine should be hefty, like say $300 for the first offense and go up by $300 for every occurrence after that. Only when you hit people in the wallet will they start to pay attention. Remember if you are in an accident today, he police get the cell phone records to see if you were on the phone texting at the time of the accident. I would like to see insurance companies not pay for damages to the texter's car if in an accident also. We really have to do some heavy hitting to stop this stupid trend. Remember, if it gets any worse the government can force phone makers to eliminate text capabilities when the phone is in motion at over 3 MPH. They can do it, they just don't want to.

I love the PSA at the beginning "don't try this at home, we're professionals".
Um... They're a bunch of You Tubers, they aren't more qualified to do this than any of us...

Anyway, great video. I often wonder why people don't realize other people can tell they are texting while driving.

It's like they think their car only has windows you can see out and not in :S

#1 In Europe, texting (or even calling) while driving is already illegal and heavily fined. But you can only be fined if they stop you **and you're still doing it** ... :S

So many laws, so little enforcement ... sigh.

Australia. Its very illegal. They have police on motorbikes with helmet cams who lane split at intersections with stop lights. When they catch people, its very often hilarious at the excuses they make even after the cop says they have them on video, texting, checking Fb or browsing the web.

A few weeks ago I was hit on the crosswalk by a girl who was texting. Luckily she didn't had any speed but I made a little dent on her hood :x

#7 : Texting while biking is rather common and dangerous too. Last time, riding on a bike lane, I had to clap my hands to make her (it was a girl riding a bike in the other direction) look at the road. Bonus : She looked at me with an upset face. Talking to myself : "Sorry girl but it's better than a big scar on your pretty face, I'm sure your super busy social life can hold on for a second".

#7 Not really :x It was a T-shaped intersection, and she was waiting for the street to be clear and then go, but she forgot to look in front of her because she was busy with her phone. I was minding my own business, Was at the half of the crosswalk, and she just rammed into me without looking. Obviously all cars around her started honking and other pedestrians were yelling at her. I went to her window to ask her what the hell is wrong with her, but she wanted to run away from it and got into the intersection without checking if other cars are coming, and she was almost hit by other 2 cars. The intersection was jammed and everyone was mad at her, and she just ran away.

And then there's this: http://thesource.com/2016/01/26/man-dies-in-car-crash-after-watching-porn-while-driving/

"In a single car crash, a Detroit man dies after rolling his car on the ramp from the Lodge to I-75 was watching pornography while driving.

Just after 3;30am on Sunday, Michigan State Police troopers were called to a ramp on I-75 in a one-car accident. The investigation revealed the driver of the car was watching a movie while behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle and ejected him from the vehicle, finding the deceased pantless at the scene, police said on Monday."

Hahaha, no pants on, that's one serious dude right there! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
