The THC oil has to be eaten or injected to kill cancer cells , smoking weed dose not give the beneficial effect.

#1 Collective Evolution is one the most ridiculous pseudoscientific sites on the whole internet. The only sources they cite is themselves and the studies - if any - they talk about get grossly misrepresented.

It is important to realize the difference between in vitro and in vivo. Scientists are looking into possible applications of cannabis derived compounds for cancer treatment based on some initial results, but an in vitro result does not mean that we have discovered an effective treatment for cancer. There are plenty of substances that kill off fast replicating cells that have been discarded in the past because they where not suitable for treatments of actual patients. So far I have not seen any evidence that cannabis oil is be any different.

#5 The National Cancer Institute is also doing research with cannabis and its applications for treating cancer.
Scroll down to questions #6 and #7 in this link. Let's hope the research and testing shows positive results.

That link is more like it, #6 !
It also confirms what i've been saying. We are a long way from clinical trials and no evidence for actual clinical efficacy is available so far. None of the studies the NCI mentions are about the antitumor properties of cannabis oil, but rather of isolated compounds like delta-9-THC or CBD.

About one quarter of all pharmaceuticals are derived from plants, most of them alkaloids. Cannabis contains a variety of different alkaloids, so it makes sense to investigate them thoroughly. There are other plants out there with the same potential, but only because it is weed, this one gets everyone all excited.

I am critical of news like this, because on one hand it potentially gives people, who do not understand the details of drug development, false hope, and on the other hand it nourishes conspiracy theories. I've heard countless time that the Jews are in charge of Big Pharma and have invented chemo to kill off the goi, while they themselves have a natural remedy (insert a miracle cure here) which cures cancer 100% without side effects.

#7 the problem with the kinda trials you're talking about would result in the crash of the cannabis market due to the fact that to get a full report on the plant by the FDA theyd have to put the plant at a Schedule 2 substance which puts a reset button on all the progress we've made by it being a Schedule 1 substance. The only alternative is to take it off the list all together so we can have our cake and eat it too because this is really the one drug that can be used as recreational and as a medicine. So it's kinda a pain in the a ass to figure out exactly what to do with it. I just say leave it alone even if you want to have concrete evidence on the power of it's healing and just label it like a vitiamin but with a age restriction. Figuring this out debate is just like the plant itself....complex.

#9 it's destroying the cancer which is a fungus. Anything that oxidates and is alkaline helps get did of this disease. Like baking soda water = 7 on the alkaline scale. Excersise or a steam room oxidates. Those are 2 other things people can do if they ever think they're being dealt an Ace of Spades in a game called life. Bet it all in and fight back!

#10 Wow! Cancer is a fungus? It can be oxidized away? Cured by baking soda? Steam Room? Where do you get these crazy ideas from?

Wow! Cannabis oil THC may have this benefit and so does CBD but without the "high" effect. Cannabidiol, also called hemp CBD, is a naturally occurring phytocannabinoid found in hemp plants. It is considered to be the most potent of all. It is currently one of only seventeen known cannabinoids in cannabis plant and accounts for as much as 40% of the marijuana plant's entire extract. Most of us know this from the "high" that many pot users experience.

However, what many people do not realize is that the CBD can produce several other effects, including helping to reduce anxiety and helping the body to relieve pain. Studies also show that CBD has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.

So, it appears that CBD can provide many benefits to humans and animals. It may even have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-oxidant properties that may help to keep it from causing cancer. There is no reason why the oils extracted from the hemp plant cannot be used to treat many conditions.
