Not sure what this video was meant for, if it was to show the cop saving his family, then why does it need the pro gun commentary over the top and recap at the end? If this is supposed to be some kind of justification for owning guns, it's pretty weak.

Protect your family? You mean protect your car, and putting your family in grave danger. Most times you see on the news that someone got killed in a robbery was because they tried to protect the _item_ that was being robbed, not themselves or anyone else. Important to underline this.

Another gun nut posting videos to defend the right to have a gun... totally agree with both 1 and 2, this shit is just stupid.

Interesting semantics and framing. In the summary the narrator referred to the gun as a ‘force multiplier’ and not as a weapon, gun or pistol. ‘It was on him and ready to go in the moment’. I wonder what new more neutral euphemism will be used for bullets - ‘projectile counter-measures’?

#4 I noticed that too. If you shoot a person five times and he can still sprint, why are you even using a gun in the first place? Was that even a real weapon?

You can tell the majority of the people here think the Hollywood "get shot, die instantly" portrayal is reality. Most people who get shot do not just die instantly, they bleed out, the reason you have a bigger gun, is bigger gun, bigger round, bigger hole, they bleed out FASTer. Unless you sever the spinal cord, shoot them in the head, or absolutely center mass and just obliterate the heart, death and/or immobilization can take a short period of time.

#1 #2 #3 If you don't care about home invaders or carjackers killing, raping and abusing your wives and daughters, then THAT is stupid. Just keep on imagining that you could stop three or more thugs with your bare hands if they gained entry into your house like the guys in this video did. Once behind closed doors they will have their way and no help will be coming. Sheep for the slaughter.

#8 Knows what he is talking about, which is why I carry a .45. :|

#9 we don't have that problem where i live, go figure :) your fear isn't gonna change anything btw, the only thing you can change is to move to another country where crime isn't a huge problem.

#4 The guy died later. The moral of the story - even 5 rounds might not be enogh to stop a adrenaline-pumped guy with knife or so if you are not locky to shoot him in the head or spine. .45 is a good caliber but 9mm is cheaper to train with ;).

Here is a perfect example of why owning a firearm is a necessary requirement to protect against predators who would do you or your family harm.

I'm against guns, but then again I live in Portugal. If I lived in Brazil, I'd carry.

1:25 did the intruder get a shot out here? Appears to be a flash from his gun.

Not sure what you're talking about #2, the situation is you and your family with 3 guys approaching, I'd say he was potentially defending more than just the car. What do you propose, interviewing them first, perhaps they're were just there to sell cookies. Sometimes the anti-gun people are more dangerous than the crooks.
