Vittel Refresh Cap

Ogilvy Paris Innovate an Irresistible Way for Vittel to remind people to drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day. 'Vittel Refresh Cap'. A tailor made cap that pops a flag every hour to gently remind you to drink.
When you twist the bottle cap shut after your refreshing sip, a timer begins automatically. Nothing new to do just twist the cap as you used to do but this time utility has been added. The program was launched in
France in order to gauge consumers' reactions and measure their behavioral changes.
Initial findings show people drank more water during the day and enjoyed it

That's an awesome idea !

Well, I was like that and then i had some kidney stones ... from then i have drunk 1.5L of water at least everyday.
Believe me you don't want kidney stones it hurts like hell. bring a water bottle at work and force yourself to drink it in the day.

Stay healthy everyone :)

#2 You prevent them from forming, by diluting your urine. Kidney stones are a precipitate of a salt in the urine if it is too concentrated...lots of water really helps, (and beer may very well work better ;)) As mwak #1 says:

Stay healthy everyone! :)

#2 yes as Thunder said, it prevents them from being created. My doctor told me to drink only mineral water not source water and not tap water (it contains too much limestone where I live). When I have a small pain I drink more until it passes. It worked for years :)

What is this in Snotr! I always wondered what drew us all to this site and now I know, we've all had or in Burimi's case have kidney stone(s).#2 I now fully understand why you are pulling that face, it's an episode of renal colic isn't it?. Fecking agony, worse than child birth apparently, although I've never experience the latter except from the Hand squeeze that often accompanies it. :O

Drink plenty of water - as long it's their brand of course.

Sorry, of course did not mean salt as in NaCl, but as in minerals, calcium being one of the most common..
#6 Interesting about the tap water, because I was under the assumption it is fine, but maybe in your location it is particularly high in limestone. Careful about mineral water too though, some of them have too high of a NaCl content and added Calcium..in my area tap water is your best bet and the cheapest..*reaching for glass of water* :)

Seems like I've read somewhere that all this water consumption has been blown up out of proportion by the commercial water bottling companies. Sure we need to drink water, we are mostly comprised of water but it's a lot of hyperbole. What a gimmick this flag top is though, it'll sell a lot of water.

It is indeed an amazing idea. Too sad studies have been showing Vittel contains pesticides, and medecines traces along with numerous other famous minerals water available on the french market. I'm pretty sure it's the same in other countries. Drink every hour yes... but drink healthy.

excusez moi for the french but google trad will give you some help. Comes from respectable newspaper.

Could be that all this stones problems comes from that >:) Same goes with gluten >:)

You should drink water. Tap water. 1-2 litres a day including coffees, soups, etc. should be enough when not exercising in the hot weather. Drinking too much water can hurt your kindneys too.
