Great story. Wouldn't mind this guy being my neighbor.

Every Fifteen minutes that is quite some commitment, wonderful little creature.
A little bit of useless trivia information brought to you in the medium of dance and paint.
If Hummer was to keep flying between feeds he would flap his wings 63000 times and his heart would beat 18900 times. The guy feeding him would beat his heart 1200 times and his dog maybe twice if he bit the postman and the milkman that day and they came during that fifteen minute interval (unlikely I know and I bet they don't even have milkmen where he lives). The dogs heart would be only slightly faster than his owner and if they had a cat (unlikely as the dog kills them) it's heart would beat 2400 during that same fifteen minutes twice as fast as the man and the dog. Just before being killed (and it going down to zero beats per fifteen minutes) it could rise to 33000 beats, which is a very lot. Now if there were a passing crocodile and it wasn't stressed (why would it be) it's heart would only beat around 45 times while the hummingbird was waiting patiently in mid air for fifteen minutes. Upon seeing the crocodile feck knows how fast the mans heartbeat would rise.
