He was driving too quickly for the road, then the panic braking unsettled his car. He would have been fine if he just kept going.

"I'm gonna turn this off now..."
So I know when the calm and polite part of the video has ended.

*1 (BRANDX) The guy in the oncoming car that was overtaking the white car was the cause of the crash. Not the guy who overturned who OBVIOUSLY had to go on the grass verge to avoid being hit by the speeding car. Once those wheels hit the grass at that speed it was never going to recover. If as you say he had kept going it would have been a high speed impact that more than likely would have caused a fatality.

This happened to me once. The driver a female (just for accuracy not being sexist) driving with her husband and two children overtook on a solid double while not line (not popular in England) carried on for about a mile overtaking around about thirty cars in a traffic jam went over the brow of a hill on a bend (still on the wrong side of the double while lines!!) and who should be lucky enough to be on the other side of the hill and bend, old JJ himself. Missed a head on by just a few inches but scraped the whole side of my car against hers and ended up in a country wall with a broken axel. Used to do the same numbers on the lottery every week, got back too late to buy a ticket and would have won £200 called at the local restaurant for something to eat as I was Starvin Marvin and they had stopped serving food. Oh joy:S

Speed does kill, lucky for him not this time. and who uses a head cam in a car unless you putting it on youtube, Dash cams normally show a speed or a clock time. Speed 80mph + as the car goes lite over the ridge and what happened to the ABS. The distance between cars at the start about 400ft , time from seeing cars to passing on its roof 2 seconds may be 2.5 seconds including it crashing into wall and slowing it down. 200fps = closing speed 136 mph. If he did not crash he would of passed the white silver car in about 1.5 seconds 250fps =170mph closing speed, In the white car worst case 60 mph leaves 110mph for the black car (why blank the speedo out if you where not speeding) i wonder if he show police this footage?

#5 You know I liked your shaver so much that I brought the company then sold it to my mate Victor. I do wonder how much time you have spent (now that you don't have a job) working all the above out? If it was more than 2.5 seconds it would have been little use for the guy who crashed who had precisely less time than that to make a decision, do I live or do I die.:(|)

I know I'm being stereotypical , but it seems that British people are often very cool, calm, and collective in sticky situations...great video!

Well for one thing they were all driving on the wrong side of the road :D but the guy who rolled it panicked and swerved off the road when there was no need....the passing car was back in his own lane in plenty of time.

I watched the full length video a week ago, with slow mo and you can clearly see if he did not swerve he was heading into a head on with the white BMW. Wrecked his car but probably saved his and other peoples live's.

#10 I too had watched the slow-mo video of it and there was no need to steer off the road to avoid a crash . The driver said the brakes on his old 1999 Yaris locked-up and I would venture that probably contributed to his losing control. Too bad he wrecked the first car he had ever owned.

He probably is in a state of shock, which can appear verry calm. My sister once called and complained that her radio wasn't working. After some more inquiry it turned out the reason was that she drove of a bridge and crashed in a tree at the edge of a canal, which saved her from drowning.
