Beautiful Northern Norway

This is a time-lapse video resulting from a 2000km long road trip and tens of thousands of photos taken along the way, starting on the very tip of Lofoten 'Værøy' , through Lofoten, Andøya and finally Senja. My goal was to create a short time-lapse movie showing how beautiful and dramatic Norwegian nature can be.

Stunning! I wish though that the people who do these would give out as to what exposure etc they use. As some of you know I've had a go at time lapse ( not done anything lately ) it would be good to learn from the people who can produce videos like this one!

i enjoy this videos so i dont have to go there .. in my experience northern countries are best viewed on snotr :)
although the scenery is incredible .. when you get there the weather is cold, people are cold, and not many things to do there .. (even the food is boring:)

and when you go down south .. smile comes back .. portugal, spain, italy, croatia, greece, turkey... or even further.. morroco, egypt, thailand, vietnam, brasil, cuba
sometimes just leaving the hotel for a coffee becomes an experience you remember for the rest of your life :)

#4 Or maybe you have visited in the wrong season and met the wrong people. People are happy when the sun shines

#5 oslo around 1650 sunshine hours per year , trondheim 1350..
2500-2800(hvar) on adriatic coast.. the same in italy or portugal (lisboa 2800) and more than 3000 in turkey :)

helsinki 1800 :) havent been to finland but judging on iceland, denmark, england, northern germany .. even switzerland
(ireland and netherlands are a strange exception) .. hard to explain.. i dont like the feelilng

but then again we spent our days in the sun while our countries are going bankrupt

Some of the rugged terrain in the video would have done nicely for scenes from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

But #4 and #6, sunshine alone does not make us "happy"...it's very possible to be happy during a raging blizzard or a thunderstorm or two..;)

#8 of course dear Snow, i'm just talking about feeling i had visiting different countries and memories that have stayed with me.

Ok culture shock is also a part of remembering situations and places .. but most important for me is the feeling i have

do i feel safe, pleasant, entertained, cosy .. or do i constantly search for sth new to see and visit

Thank you Thunder for showing Snotr the best from my country<3 Though it may be countered by our steep prices. A beer in a restaurant may cost 70 NOK or about 10 USD.

#4 trust me, my country is best experienced being here:)

#7 in some ways Norway is similar to New Zealand, especially when you look at climate and nature.

#10 You're welcome, the scenery is fascinating. Some day for sure I will go there to visit, despite the beer being expensive...

#10 although its low on my list i could skip a few countries and come there for a few euros with all the cheap flights .. i'm only worried how much i'll spend on .. well necessities.. maybe after sicily ... and peru.. and vietnam again... you know it's cheaper to go for 3 weeks in thailand and vietnam or morocco and tunis or turkey or anywhere else then for a beer in oslo with my friends

but i must admit it looks beautiful, and i'm sure i'll do a northern tour.. someday

#12 Turkey is out of the question right now, unfortunately, although I'd like to go there too...other than that I'd rather visit Scandinavia than Vietnam or Thailand...another reason, I love the Scandinavian's mentality..Northeners aren't cold, they're hot! <3...would be cool to have a snotr meeting there or somewhere....

why is turkey out of the question? :) 25000 people died of common flu in US in 2015 , 32 000 in traffic accidents - i dont even want to start with obesity, heart diseases, cancer (1.3 mil) and only 350 of terrorism in turkey, believe me it's easier to catch a flu :)

#14 You're right, the dangers here are of a different nature but nevertheless just as deadly (you forgot gun accidents)...recently wanted to book a flight overseas via Istanbul (why not), and people here deemed me out of control crazy, so I didn't..I guess living in the US you can't quite ignore or get away from all the fear mongering...
