#2 That's the original source of the word but my meaning was more from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_evangelist
In NdT-s case i guess "science evangelist" would be more exact. I guess his job is to inspire youngins (who pays him?). For me he is incredibly annoying. Not even sure why. I just get the same feeling that i get when someone is trying to con me.
#3 no thank you!

#4 The term science evangelist doesn't make much sense, although I do understand what you're describing, because it's an oxymoron, evangelism based on pure faith, and science based on evidence as we have it at this point in time. Everyone is always selling something, yes NdGT is trying to sell scientific concepts, others are selling material goods, religious leaders are selling their religion, and I might be trying to sell you my opinion, everyone is getting some type of compensation in return. They all have that aspect in common.
I personally would rather listen to him than most, online and everywhere else..

Anyway pissed or not, we can't argue those fact. We are almost inexistant in the face of the universe. We live on a small planet at the edge of a galaxy that has nothing special to it. We are made of the same "ingredients" as everything, even some trees have sexual reproduction (see the ginko). And yet we fight for a piece of power.
I'm sure I will never see it in this life, but I truly hope that one day humanity stops struggling in a fight for power and finds unity.

Beautiful video al right. Also the music that reminds me of Hans Zimmer (Inception, Dark Knight, Interstellar, Pirates...)
