$1.4 billion B-2 crash
This might look like a regular airplane crash, but what you are seeing is a B-2 stealth bomber. At $1.4 billion, this was the #1 most expensive aviation accident and the #7 most expensive overall accident in the world's history.

hmmm isn't it strange to put videos in here where people die?... i mean, no chance that pilot survived,... or am i wrong? what do you guys think?

O my god was that pilot drunk or something when your plane stalls you must slow down and regain control ![]()

#6 There is a difference you know. Kinda like the media. They show the plane hitting the buildings, but they don't show persons (who jumped) hitting the pavement.

also... about 20s in the flaps malfunction, not just a standard stall. ![]()

Apparently, if this is the right plane crash.Which i think it is.
The plane was in for servicing and the engineers had put the wrong software in the plane. So when the pilot takes off.
Crash and burn was going to be the only outcome.
I wonder if they threatened him with the replacement cost.

Very sad video.
There goes a huge investment and a beautiful aircraft.

From the News: The loss of a $1.4 billion B-2 bomber in Guam was the result of three of 24 pressure sensors on the wings providing incorrect data, which led the flight control software to take unneeded corrective action during takeoff, and causing the aircraft to crash. The pressure sensors were designed to deal with high humidity, but conditions in the tropical climate of Guam created more humidity moisture than the system could actually deal with.

the pilots ejected before crashing...
#13 actually, humidity caused water to build up in the sensors which normally helped the fly by wire control system determine altitude. the plane was actually registering misreadings before taking off and was sent in to be serviced. the service crew didn't know what was creating the problem and adjusted the sensors not knowing about the water. as a result, the flyby wire control system crashed the plane.

i read the news since the crash happened, and confirmed that both pilots ejected and ok..

Amazing stealth technology though .
The way the plane disappears after only a few seconds in the air .

if you want to bomb a place, just crash the plane and it will do the job. NO NEED TO DROP BOMBS! ![]()

You could see the pilots ejecting right at the beginning, when the canopy went. Absolutely amazing. For ooh and ahh, it will always be the Blackbird, for me. Watching them take off, then "step on the gas" and instantly vanish, leaving a couple of sonic booms in their wake, always blew me away
Never saw the B2s do "touch and goes". They might be just as awesome. Still a damned shame to lose one ![]()
