Is that what the pelican crossings are like in Holland?? In the UK they only beep when you can cross, but make no sound at any other time.

I actually worked for them once!!! I was sent to Arla (Danish dairy products firm). That sucked. Adecco recruits substitute workers to send out to companies in need. lets say you make 30 bucks an hour. thats pretty normal. but the company has to pay Adecco about 100bucks an hour. of which they give you the 30. so they make money!!

And if they dont have any work for you... you wont earn a dime.

This commercial shows the kind of thing you will be doing. Why would a company send their own employees to clean the toilets at construction sites

Yeah, I worked for Adecco once. It really sucked. The place I was sent to paid $20/hour normally, but I only got paid $9/hour through Adecco. Bunch of crooks. They profit from all the money you earn, and they just give you minimum wage.

#2 Yup. Don't know if it's always like that though, but the ones I've seen/heard are like that, yeah.

#3 and #4, that's just how all those companies work. They find a job for you, the company you work for pays more than normal of which you get your pathetic cut. It's just how that system works. Find a job yourself and you're better off.

#2 most 'pelican' crossings don't have these sounds, but some do, especially at busy junctions. They start ticking when you press the button and stop some time after it's red again.

i worked for them in uk. they called me for an overtime on a bank holiday and.... well when i got to my work place, i found there my name wasn's in the overtime list.... and my run was wasted....
