it's easy with roads like that :)

FWIW The South Koreans have done the same thing. Big open flat straight sections of thier main highways even have meter markers on the side to assist take off and landing. Kind of clever dual use in the event of emergency or war.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think this is because Finland is close to Russia and they are practising this in a case of any retaliation from russian side, if airports are attacked they could put up planes on air!

If history is any lesson then the Finns with 5 planes should be able to hold off the entire Russian air force and inflict massively disproportionate casualties over an unexpectedly long period. Never bet against a Finn, especially when the enemy is a Russian ;-)

#5 In this well-known picture, supposedly of a "redneck with a huge rifle", the rifle is actually a Finnish-made
Lahti L-39 20mm anti-tank rifle that the Finns used against the Soviets in the Winter War. It was also used for
long-range sniping. Many of them are still in use to this day.
Since the gun was so heavy skis were mounted underneath so it could be pulled over snow instead of being carried...great idea.
