#1 What kind of work allows you to take time and play with this stuff?

I read somewhere that a girl had to have her stomac removed and nearly died due to drinking a drink at a bar using liquid nitrogen on top of their drinks for the cool smoke effect.
So it can be pretty nasty stuff.

I've used it for storing skin biopsies, always felt like being at a pink Floyd concert when opening the lid of the storage tank. Not that you would generally, but should you ever find yourselves having to carry a container of this stuff around a hospital never ever ever take the lift (elevator) because (and this happened) should you accidentally knock the thing over and you were really unlucky and the lid came off the Liquid nitrogen would quickly replace the oxygen in the lift and you could die. 3 litres spilled brings the oxygen level down to 16%

#2 work in a lab where there are Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM's). Before digital photos we used to take Polaroids, there was a coating we'd apply to protect the photos. One of the many fun things to do was the appliques came in a small container, we'd put some LN2 in an empty one and toss them under co-workers chairs. The resulting pressure from the LN2 warming would eventually pop the containers with a pretty stout "BANG".
