#1. Agreed its an awesome version...I've had it tucked away in my music folder for a few months now...every-time I get a visitor it seems I've got it playing...and they all ask who sang it. Having said that..the version I downloaded its very slightly different ( nobody sings the same song the same way twice...its not possible ) here's the link for the one I have...I prefer the video as well :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4
PS...YTD (Youtube downloader ) is handy thing to have...not that I'd know anything about that of course ;-)

A big thank you to admin for allowing this upload. I was played this by one of my sons a few weeks ago and I have to say I was absolutely blown away. Never heard of the guy or the band before and listening to some of their other stuff it's not really my bag man, maybe thirty years ago but I like a quieter existence these days.
But OMD what a voice the power especially towards the end incredible. And it also shows what an amazing job Paul Simon did with the lyrics. I did do a little digging on Youtube and found quite an unpleasant video of him having a go at an audience member for texting during his performance which I didn't agree with. I was thinking maybe she was texting her recently deaf brother who was dying at home in his bed, details of the show, that's what I would have shouted back at him anyway even though I haven't got a brother.

#2 yea that's the version I have as well, can't watch the video though, don't like the close-ups of his face and piercings. Too close for comfort! But I'm a big drum fan and this version shows the large kettle drums, so cool.
#3 That is one of the things I really like about Youtube where you can find interesting versions of songs, some actually better than the original depending on your personal taste.
#4 It's interesting because I had heard this song quite a while ago and then recently parts of it started to pop in my head and it took me several days to find it. I couldn't remember any of the lyrics or who sang it, but I remembered the awesome build-up and super strong vocals. Once I found it I downloaded it immediately and is one of my current favorites.

Strong and gritty voice, well done.
The back story on them doing this song is interesting as well. They did several versions before landing on this one and they realized this one was the one that was different yet gave homage to the original.
