#1 It's just basic aerodynamics. He reduced his drag significantly, and they were obviously on a downhill stretch.

I had to chuckle...the guy in the lead is pedalling like mad chasing the guy on the motorbike...then all of a sudden he gets overtaken by a guy laying down on the job!...I wonder what the guy thought as he cruised past him?
