Unbelievable moment an Indy 500 driver gets hit and then flies through the air before his car rips in half - but walks away UNHURT. A driver in Sunday's Indiana 500 race incredibly walked away unscathed after the rear end of his car ripped off in a crash with another driver. That's carbon fiber for you ... light as paper, stiff as hell, but brittle too. Works great as long as everything's fine, but it doesn't take much and you'll need a broom ... so.many.tiny.pieces!

incredible what the closed cockpit design can withstand, and as for G-forces .. it seemed ok until 0:11 .. the body had some internal twists and turns for sure..

Meh. Here's my fellow countryman hitting a wall at 300km/h in F1 Canadian Grand Prix in 2007.
