it's a nice idea, but it would stop working as soon as people start counting on free food and stop shopping...

This is a typical American problem, it's all how you were raised, and I was raised to put small portions of food on my plate and eat them, you can always take more afterwards, and I check the refrigerator periodically just to see what needs to be used first, of course things still go bad sometimes , but I sure don't have a $1500 waste per year. I had a roommate for a year recently and I was in shock how much food she always bought and also threw out, often it was because she wanted it at the time but then wasn't interested in it any longer, many times she gave me the stuff she got tired of. Different cultures, different habits, but this video did not surprise me.

#5 I miss you too, dear JJ, and that's true <3....I kind of started going to these FB groups more when we had such a long snotr break a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm there more than here..:'(....but I'll try to make an effort to come here again more often, after all this is my true home with friends I've known for so long..
