They have these machines in stores near me, but they are always out of service.

I wish they had these machines in Australia! The banks wont count out all your change from ya piggy bank for you like they would in the good old days... you think they would be trying to keep customers happy with the economy in the toilet! :D

But the problem is they take out somewhere around 10% to 20% for each coin counting transaction if you redeem for cash.

Yeah, I have seen those change convertors, we have always just counted our change up and taken it to the bank. It doesnt even take that long!

long? lol, my family once had a big money tin and people had to put money in it for not doing things. anyway we ended up having a couple hundred dollars in small coins. like 2000 5c coins = 100$ so yeah... it took a full day of nothing else but counting

Same sorta thing happened to me in real life - only the coins ended up turning into a cheeseburger at McD... tasted about the same as the shoe, I'm sure!

that's an awesome commercial.... I loved all the places the money came from!! especially the poor little guy with dust bunnies and other stuff all stuck to him!! I don't think they left anyplace out, except the floorboard of most peoples cars!!
