Until she cut it (and because I read the title too fast), I thought the bow was made of a pool noodle, so I was looking forward to understand how it worked. Ah ah !

(Don't watch Snotr when you just woke up).

Surrounded by trees and therefore plenty of natural materials from which to build a bow, it's odd that she chooses to use PVC pipe instead. And the toxic gases released from heating PVC over an open fire to soften it, means this is very derfinitely a bad idea. :|

#3. Agreed about the PVC pipe...she could have ( almost ) as easily used wood, I was wondering what the draw weight of that bow would be. Gotta admit though I love the concept / shape....and I think she must have some kind of super vision to see anything in that water!

Those springs are going to go rusty in no time, I'm sure a wooden bow would have been much quicker to make and just as accurate and wouldn't require internet access to order pipe and springs from Amazon, Of course if she wasn't fishing in Cambodia but instead in South America fishing on the Amazon she could just call into warehouse. 8-)

She's an inventive lass but thats a really weak bow and she could have had better just making the simplest survival bow. Nevertheless, she got her fish so props to her.
