#1 Why so gloomy? What would you rather have them do, cry? Be silent? The ice couldn't care less about either, so why not applaud and cheer, its as good as any gesture if you ask me.

#6 most people don't deny global warming, it's whether or not we are causing it, to what extent, whether we should bankrupt ourselves trying to reverse it (if we are indeed causing it) and finally whether there is actually anything we can do about it. The "science" is not settled about this. We know very little.

Why so sad? This bridge collapse was caused by stress from an expanding glacier, not from melting.
