Clever chimpanzee

A really quickly thinking chimp. (The speed of the video might be pitched up a bit, but then it's still impressive.)

This was actually a trial in aversion therapy.

Any repeated errors, and the Lab assistant was ordered to spank the monkey.

As you can see, the monkey can now count
(however the Lab assistant is now blind) :(|)

near the beginning, in the reflection of the top of the plastic case round the screen you clearly see someone casually walk away.
In other words I'm pretty convinced the vid. is at the regular speed.
So super awesome
2 human heads for this monkey head :P :P

I've seen this on Nat Geographic, this is at normal speed. They have such amazing short term memories that they can memorize the numbers in just a second, something most of us can't do.

Well chimps and man have 99.8% the same genome.. This is a part of the 0.2% they have that is better than ours :D
Other parts include: several times denser musculatory system resulting in immense physical power (a grown male chimp has easily the strength of 5-7 grown men), this is the reason why chimps can't swim; immensely advanced facial musculatory system, chimps can make thousands of more faces than man; acrobatic skills; of course their sense of smell and hearing is also better than ours; i believe they have better judgement too :D

thx for the vid

We share the genoma at 99% but we dont active them in the same way thats what make us more specialized we have natural actuators in the genes that active or desactivate CG sequences in order to behave in a specfic way so a worm has like 90000genes but humans have muc much less ...is the way we use those genes what make us all different ... almost like software...

I stand corrected smodd, might as well be ~99% not 99,8

I still nailed it as far as what they do better than us though :D
