@ #4 Oh no he isn't. And he wouldn't be interested in the ladies anyway...

Wikipedia:
Tammet holds the European record for reciting pi from memory to 22,514 digits in five hours and nine minutes.
22 514 decimal points?! How is that fucking possible?! ![]()

I watched that whole documentary, and in the end they tested to see if he could learn a new language. They taught him icelandic for a week, and after that he went on a Iceland tv talk show, where daniel sure enough spoke the language fluent enough. In a week he taught himself how to speak a foreign dialect. F-in Brilliant.
Apparently it was his second attempt at reciting pi.
Half way through the first, he paused, smacked his head down on to the table and yelled
'Fuckit - I just lost the game!!!' ![]()

gawd damn!! Thats amazing!
I have memorized my bank account numbers, credit card numbers, 2x Windows XP serials (1 for SP1 and 1 for SP2) Diablo II and LoD CD keys, and i dont think theres something wrong with me...
The way i do it is by searching for patterns in the numbers and letters. that refers to something i know already or have heard of. like the first 5 digits in the SP1 XP serial is FCKGW. I remember FCK cuz its my favorite soccer team and so on... if theres no pattern i just gotta remember all of it which isnt that hard when you already know a lot of the remaining digits and letters by comparing them to words or whatever.
Get busy remembering stuff!!
I have not logged on as a member here for quiet a while because old fart/usanumber1 is an ass hole that just gets on my goat and again he offends.
My youngest son has a learning difficulty. Give him a math problem and he will solve it without a pen and paper. The best old fart/usanumber1 can do for this vid is throw a pointless insult.
Shame on you!!
The only joy you seem to have in life is insulting other people because you are under the impression that you come from a superior race...
NEWS FLASH!!!! you come from a country of mongrels and your attitude is one of the reasons that your country is hated by most of the world.
To every one else. I have enjoyed this site and thank you for educating and entertaining me but it is time for me to leave.

@ #(removed comment) Why would #16 be offended by me correcting someone else's "error"? The subject of the documentary, Mr Tammet, is open about his sexuality. Are you suggesting it was offensive for me to mention this in response to the #4 post?

The FCKGW key has been blacklisted since 2004 so no point in remembering it ![]()
I know another boy, a student of mine in the UK, who'd draw symbols instead of writing notes and will later summarize the whole lecture from 4 or 5 symbols (or shapes) from his notebook. It was amazing and no one understood the symbols except him.

That's wild. A new language in a week? Wow. Could be done with dedication and study I suppose. It almost sounds like he's got a near photographic memory and uses images to catalog memories. The mind is amazing. I wonder how he is in social situations though.
