It should be illegal for "mainstream media" to misrepresent mere symptoms as the problem. But this would require "we the people" to reach critical mass, bootstrap ourselves out of "Plato's Cave", and become the change. For example, the "healthcare (*cough* dis-ease management *cough*) system" isn't broken because of a lack of funds or pillaging; these are merely the symptoms of the problem: unhealthy people. :(

Those millions of dollars spent on cleaning the streets, should have been spent on social issues a long time ago. Then perhaps we could have diminished the environment issues.

LOL!!! Where liberalism meets reality. By the way, Natan el tigre and ringmaster are also symptoms of everything that is wrong. It should be illegal to show a 'symptom' on TV? Get help, Tigre.

The point here is, years ago you'd "move" these people along, not let them collect in large numbers because an area, a city, can only absorb so much of this type of activity before it becomes very dangerous for all of us. Our politicians have become weak and/or we've elected folks with this ideology that thinks this is OK.

We have laws against "camping" in public for a reason, and this video illustrates that reason.

California is unique in that our politicians tolerate this, so we've become a magnet now for these folks and the industries that take advantage of them. We have 12% of the nation's population but 35% of the welfare cases and 22% of the nation's homeless. If that doesn't tell the story....

Our nuts in charge also are purging the prison population and we are also a sanctuary state, two more reasons the homeless population continues to increase.

We have no water, no fuel, but our dim witted governor wants to spend $100 billion on a choo choo train that no one will ride.

Please help us Trump!

Signed into law in 1830 by President Andrew Jackson, the Indian Removal Act provided for the general resettlement of Native Americans from east of the Mississippi River to lands west (Indian Territory)

Needles are a separate issue, but if people aren't provided with homes or public toilets, where else are they supposed to take a dump?

#9 LOL. That was then, this is now. Let's not throw out the straw man arguments.

Most of these people are vagrants by choice, not "homeless". A small percentage need help (I don't mind paying some of my taxes for those in need), most need to be moved along. Locally there was a HUGE tent city, the county finally acted to move them along, less than 20% took the offered help. The problem is simple when there's a handful, move along. It becomes a real problem when you let it get out of hand.

vagrant: noun: a person without a settled home or regular work who wanders from place to place and lives by begging.

#3 Don't be so quick in your judgement because you misread!
#1 never said that " it should be illegal to show the symptoms.."
He meant that "the media misinterprets the symptoms when the problems lie deeper, the symptoms are just a manifestation of the problem" and #1 is right!
