#2 I love the US and still think it is in the top 3 or 4 places to live, but on this you are sadly right. Only in the US could liability issues cause this to be the policy. But the owner of this privet firm doesn't want to lose all he has worked for over a stupid law suit. As Shakespeare said ..."kill all the lawyers".

Could the need to set and follow harsh ( Keep your job) rules be human and the ability to be separate from those rules a wonderful American trait? After all these millennial knew beforehand they would do the right thing. Doing so liberated themselves from such draconian (note Draco ) policies.
