#2 so true. How many times does he say "we love your car"? Hey, there's no argument if we both love your car! A good salesman will try to maximize the areas to agree on, and then minimize the areas you don't agree on. It's fun to watch.

Well, good lesson for customers. The guy looks like he really knows his job and you can always walk away and put it under scrutiny. If the smart people around you cannot find the loophole he is most probably right and you might really waste your time and money.

How about he buys a used car from a friend and invests the difference? This belongs in the "Penny Wise, Pound Foolish” category. What's next, how to rent, eat out, oversubscribe, procreate, self-medicate, and carry the balance?

That extra payment you most likely WILL make if you're asking on the higher end of the market, is real money. Time to prep the car is real time or money if you have someone else do it.
