How did we find the speed of light

Another piece of information to make the Flat Earth Idiots look even more stupid if it was possible.

I hope Richard Feynman will be remembered, recognized and honoured in the same regards as Newton and Einstein.

so light travels at around 300 000km/s or around 9 500 800 000 000 km in a year

so my childs laser hits our moon in around a second.. sun gets hit in about 8 minutes .. voyager 1 is at around 20 minutes,, second star closest to the earth in around 4,5years and the closest galaxy 300ly .. and the furthest we have seen so far and tried to calculate is 13.000.000.000 ly away as far as our estimates go

that's around 120,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 km

it fascinates me . had to share

P,S. closest visible .. also the brightest star is 8.6 ly and very famous Polaris or the north star would take 433 years for my beam to get there

#4 We're not even totally sure if a bear shits in the woods when no one is listening. 8-)

And If a tree falls in a forest when there is nobody there does it make a sound?

Richard Feynman almost certainly shat in the woods and next to a bear out of curiosity.

He had an amazing career and life, starting as the badboy trouble maker at Los Alamos as part of the US’s WW2 Manhattan Project. Apparently he drove the military nuts with his exploits.

I would encourage people to read his book "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" if they want to learn more about him and his genius and his non conformity. Fascinating man.

And

Only one way to find out # 4. nomaddaf, we will need you to climb in and close the door.

We can call this the Nomaddaf Refrigerator Box experiment. Is the light on or off? We won’t know thus nomaddaf will exist in a quantum state for us on the outside, with the light being possibly on and possibly off. Only nomaddaf will know and that information will remain privileged until he is released.. but that is a different decision all together ;-)

#8 The only problem with the Nomaddaf Refrigerator box experiment in it's present form, is that the light may only initially go off, ending the experiment. Therefore I propose The Nomaddaf Refrigerator box extended experiment 48. This will take into account of the possibility that the light having gone off may come back on within a 48 hour period. For continuity a large rope should be tied around the refrigerator a couple of dozen times so that no one on the outside accidentally opens the door looking for milk.

#9. Judge-Jake. I have come to the conclusion that you were either Douglas Adams’s editor or you are in fact his long lost secret brother… It would explain quite a bit…. ;-)
