Say what you want about him, but he will be missed by some.

Mostly by the writers of late night tv shows, but still.

#4 There are plenty of Obama videos out there that shows what an idiot Obama can be. Maybe one day the mods will see fit to show one or two of them that have been submitted to snotr.

He is even an admitted user of pot and cocaine (but only in his college years). Yea right.

#4 economics experts say that Obama's plan to fix the economic crisis will do more harm than good leading the us into hyperinflation then a possible economic depression. they also say that because world economies are linked through import/export and national debt, the damage could be world wide.

i am not an expert in economics myself, but i kind of believe what experts say over politicians.

i hope it doesn't happen and wish that things will get better but the wiser side of me knows that chances are against us.

btw, i didn't vote for anyone.

#6 Im not saying Obama didnt do that stuff, cause I dont know, but if you are going to write a message like that and leave a link. Dont act like that is proof, cause that was a typical american slandering election ad, not a confession.

Better yet, find the original source of that comment instead.

@ everyone!

Listen we're into 2009.

Credit crunch, new US Pres, war in Isreal / Palestine.

Jeez.

Can we not at least 'try' to start the new year on a good note?

I'm not doing the old political arguements on forums anymore. That's a 'heads-up' to the rest of ya.

This is meant to be a fun site so PLEASE keep it that way :)

I mean that!

#9 The quote about pot, booze and a little blow is a quote right out of Obama's own book and in his own words "Dreams of my Father" , not some made-up political ad. It was an admitance to drug use during his college years. That IS the original source, read the small print under the quote,it is the name of his book. :|

#11 obama said it himself and people still disagree with you. you may have a freedom of belief but never reality.

#10 i see where you are coming from, but the fact that we are in these bad times is ever more reason to be aware of them. you can live in a happy bubble in la la land all you want but to deny reality is to invite your own destruction. 8-)

I'd like to submit to the moderators... "delete any political debate comments" ??? Thoughts people?

15 Posted 312 days ago by USAnumber1

@# 14 Hell even I would be all for that idea but these things keep getting started BY THE MODS when they themselves put videos like this one on snotr. Vids like this one just fuels the fires of debate and by eliminating them most of the back and forth arguments and discussions would cease.

zf1 I have no idea what 'reality' or 'bubble' you are talking about, care to elaborate?

#15 totally agree. if you want to stop seeing political statements stop posting political videos. i dont get why people try to bash people who made political replies to political subjects/ videos. maybe if some people really dont want to read it than just dont watch the videos that are about political subjects. :|

even better, moderators should add "politics" to the submission category so that non interested people can choose to view it if they want. problem solved. ;)

and USAnumber1, the 'bubble' and 'reality' i was referring to was the way people ignore harsh circumstances in the world that may directly or indirectly affect us on a daily basis and how some people will ignore this just as an attempt to protect their happy and naive lifestyle, which people should be able to do if it makes them happy. however, the figure of speech was used mainly to warn people of possible consequences which may be known or unknown which could arise from such ignorance. its kind of an evolution of the saying, "ignorance is bliss" but with a political understanding/warning.

i dont understand how you didnt understand me the first time. USAnumber1, are you a redneck? (no disrespect) if so that would explain a lot. 8-)

#16 Now that I see that you were speaking in general about people who are living in ignorant bliss pertaining to the realities of life I can agree with you. It seemed your wording was directed at me and I try to stay well informed about all things relating to my life and my family.

And yes I am a proud ol Southern boy .

Yes, I really don't like bush or his policies or decisions but I can't help but feel kinda bad for the guy...It's not like he *tried* to f*ck over the country. I'm sure he's actually a very decent and nice person...he's just not president material.

also, I didn't really find that vid amusing...there are much better ones out there.

#18 i like your sarcasm :D

#17 my wording wasn't directed to you in any way (was mainly directed to #10 and those who voted negative on #8). :)

Here is a sane view of what the US has to look forward to with Obama's win:

The Daily Mail (UK) wrote this editorial about Obama on 1/6/2009.
(confirmation, Google "London Daily Mail Obama's Victory";)

Obama's Victory--A British view
A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the US mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.
A victory for Hollywood , the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros, Moore, and Sarandon. Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion.
Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition. A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity. A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and econom ic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.

Congratulations America !
