Fake Fake Fake...
The fastest way to ground is going to be back through the wire, not via his body. Second, the "spark" looks fake too and was probably added post filming.

It's fake because the Spark didn't even look real.

Its a new concept on eletricity theory: the double ground.

#7, #8, #9,
first id like to say that although the "spark" (or electrical arc) didnt look normal, it could have been because the arc was covered by a cloth making only some of the light visible.
second, that prank was a very simple circuit and didnt need a ground connection. the only thing that was done was creating a switch in the form of a strip of aluminum which would connect the positive and negative of the battery when pressure was applied to the aluminum foil (btw, this will make the battery explode or leak if prolonged).
when the guy put pressure on the foil thus making an electrical connection, most of the electrons flowed back into the battery and some flowed into the guys hand, through his body, and into the wet shower, down the drain, etc. in fact, even if the shower wasnt wet and the guy just happen to be standing on something completely insulated he would have still gotten electrocuted because his body (which is a good electrical conductor)would have served the purpose as the external ground source. in fact, anything conductive (preferably metal) and with a large enough density can be used as a ground source.
the whole purpose of a ground source is to dissipate excess electrons which could potentially damage equipment. normally, electrons would have been dissipated within any electrical device before the remainder reached the negative connection of the battery.
im going to say, not fake.
#(removed comment) your right, except a "flash burn" is something completely different. 1: it is the condition of the eyes created when a welder doesnt wear proper eye protection, 2: it is the brief exposure to intense thermal radiation (military definition).
but i see what you mean, the pain resulting from such an occurrence might resemble being burnt. however, a friend of mine once had a taser and i wanted to see what it felt like so i let him tase me. it felt like (how you would imagine) a wide screwdriver going strait though my arm.

get a life guys, laugh at others misfortune, as you never know when it will be yours - and rest assured, others will laugh.
#12 man if you think laughing at others misfortune is life, than i definitely feel sorry for you brother.
dont get me wrong, it was funny and i did laugh but i just think that there is more to life than than laughing at others misfortune.
.....like getting an education ![]()
Can't wiat to see the retaliation. Take some time to plan out the camera angles to increase the fun.

Yup.. I'd say not fake.. and very cruel..
This is not a prank, I'd probably be extremely pissed if someone did that to me.. A friend who staged this is definetly not a friend
Someone who actually gets you into direct contact with a f****ng car battery while your all wet is not your friend..
And here comes the totally avoidable and retroactive sentence: F****ng Americans..
![]()
#17 all those people who randomly say something bad about Americans should tell us what country they are from so we can bring ourselves down to their level. ![]()

zf1, do you mean so you can bring yourself up to our level?
#21 patriotaus, however you want to look at it, you can have a freedom of belief, but never reality...
if being educated annoys you than maybe you should stop talking shit in educated debates...
instead of verbally disproving my statements you simply disagree with me by saying that i say annoy you? too bad if truth makes you annoyed.
i know you are one of those dumb people who think "americans" are dumb and guilty because george bush was a war monger, but thats just an excuse to be dumb and guilty. you are dumb because you base reality on minimal information and one sided viewpoints and you are guilty because you use that ignorance to promote hatred between nations which is exactly what fascists want to see.
personally, people who promote fascism through ignorance annoy me. so please, bring it on.
#10 i agree with you exept the battery won't explode. it's possible but you need a short cirquit longer. It's a 12 volts battery i think and many people would think it isnt letal but it is because it kan deliver pretty deadly current (about 7 amps or so) and a current from about 300 milli amps (0.3 amp) trough the heart is considered deadly. So be warned people

thats just plain nasty!!! im a spark and dc voltage hurts like hell especaly from a car battery hope the guy gets his 'mate' back by attatching those clamps to his nuts or something
