Because pilots CAN'T make mistakes. I'm so tired of the never ending praise to pilots. They are just people like you and me...

I wonder how much damage, if any, the landing struts took on that impact? They compressed pretty hard several times.

#7, Dan Osman is also just a person like you and me. Yet he does things like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fpm0m6bVfrM
Which we think are awesome. My point? We like it when people do something that looks cool, or is hard to do, even if those people are just like us. Why does it bother you that people like pilots?

It is City of London Airport, and as far as I can remember, it has a steeper glide slope than most civil airports due to the close proximity of the buildings around it. COnsequently, only certain aircraft with STOL capabilities can use it. And that's a BAE 146 the pilot is attempting to bury into the tarmac...
That was one hell of a dodgy landing. Seems that the pilot left it a bit late to flare out at the end. At 0:07, when he's directly over the threshhold, he appears to be (a) very close to the ground and (b) almost parallel to the runway surface.
Still, he could have been in a hurry to get home for tea...

#1 & #(removed comment) That was really scarey just to watch never mind being on it!
Max kudos to the pilots & their skill. I've been on a few 'bumpy' flights but these guys always got me down in one piece (and everyone else for that matter too).
Thumbs up from me for the vid anyways

#13:
Pilots don’t bother me at all, its people that things that pilots are flawless and never make mistakes that is a bit enjoying. Have a look around the web. Almost no matter what the pilots are doing, people just praise them. I’m I wrong…? No… I have never said that they are bad to do their job. And sometimes they really do a great job. But seriously, they also screw up sometimes. That’s the only thing that I’m trying to teach you – and this landing looks like my first in the simulator. Better luck next time to crab the plane down in side winds landings.

#18, I guess you've got a good enough reason to have your opinion : D
And I didn't even notice the typo, I read it as think.
