Yeah, the sound is almost inorganic but it's being made with hands. It's amazing.

Thats weird! but it makes an awesome sound!

#5 - the egg cartons absound the sound. the spikes "break" the sound waves so it doesnt pass into the wall causing resonance which could annoy others

Incredible. I had no idea these even existed. The sound is incredibly enchanting and invigorating yet totally relaxing. Its such an awesome experience for me. Im trying to find a nice arrangement of this type of music! Apparently the first one was made in 2003?? absolutely incredible what humans have accomplished.

*quote from scott*
The only way at this time to acquire a new generation Hang drum, is to travel to Bern Switzerland, where they are made or if you know of someone willing to travel to Bern and pick one out for you.

The two makers now create up to 2 Hangs a day, as opposed to as many as 8, from the old production model they used to follow. Because of the greater amount of time put into these new generation Hangs, they are more deeper, resonant and incredibly beautiful sounding.

All Hang inquiries should go directly to them. info@hang.ch

The last Hang I saw for sale in the us was for $1,300 (US).
