i would be surprised if the only muscle car in the mix DIDN'T come out top. the other three are high performance sports cars. you gotta throw in twists and turns to make it fair :P

yep put some corners in the mix! Then see who comes out on top! Talk about loading the competition. Top Gear woulda made a fair comparison....

the AWD on the GTR gets pretty laggy at high speeds.

also wasnt fair doing such a long run when its down that many horse power.

i would like to see them race on a track with plenty of turns. GTR is the best at turns.

I love to whatch dragrace! But with cars like these I would like to see lots of twists and turns. When driving oneself its the adrenaline rush with lots of corners thats gives the real badass kicks! >:)

For those of you griping about turning, the ZR1 recorded a faster lap time than the GTR at the Nürburgring..

Well for all you guys that think the ZR1 is just a straight-line muscle car here are the top ten fastest production car's times at a very twisty race-course. Other than a race-prepped Viper that had been tuned for that track the ZR1 is the fastest.

i'm impressed the ZR1 made those times at the Nurburgring. makes me give a newfound respect to American muscle. most def.

#12 why is it unconfirmed though? lol....

#13 If it was not videoed then it is called unconfirmed. Even if you want to discount that run the ZR1 is still the 6th fastest around that track with just a GM engineer driving. The driver with the faster time is a professional driver with GM's race program. The time keepers at the track don't make those numbers up though. GM plans on putting race tires on the ZR1 and going for an even better time. The ZR1 is only running 10 pounds of boost and pump-gas so when the gear-heads start upping the boost and playing with the fuel injection and ignition timing we should see some marked improvements in horsepower. ;)
