I think it refers to the fact that 70% of North Americans are obese. Makes absolute sense #(removed comment).
If there have been low carb beers in the USA for that many years, not many making use of them

Well #(removed comment) I did not know that about the Aussies, thank you for the education.
The Aussies do have a great sense of humour though, you must admit that.

#3 yes our humor is great, it's a shame that most other countries just don't get it...
As for being fat, there's a number of studies out saying that aussies are fatter than americans per capita, however, the stats compare two completely different methods and classifications on what obese actually is.
That said, there is an upward trend in obesity here in Australia, partly due to the 'american' influence (from fast food to TV).

Carbohydrates give us energy.
If we cut them off, we lose energy.
It is up to us to exercise to keep the pounds off once we take in extra, unneeded carbohydrates.
