tbh this dog is unsuited as a police dog.
This is called a 'biter'. Dogs have to release once they get the command. This way the cops have to fight off the dog and the suspect.
Doesn't take away that in some cases they should just let dogs like this have a bit of fun... For example release it in a cel with a pedophile... a naked pedophile.

The dogs are good, but wouldn't they rip the guy to pieces? Even if he's armed he shouldn't get his hand or finger bite of by a crazy police dog.

I agree with #4 this dog is overly aggressive and unsuitable as a police dog, it doesnt even listen to commands its just ready to jump and keep on target till he gets pulled off by force. Not to mention it went for its own master in the zenith of its rage...

I believe these dogs are not german shepherds but rather belgian malinois. Looks like german shepherds but are much smaller, and from what I seen before about this belgian breed they seem to be a bit hyper .... and #4 - putting in a cell with a pedofile????
That must be some serious animal abuse...

Oh, Scary dogs. Im normaly not afraid of dogs but those look very dangerous because they aint listning to well.

They said "it was the 1st time the dog bite me..." ^_^" it' s pretty much difficult to traine a dog in those situation ... impressive

#9 is right... This looks to be a rather extreme approach.. These dogs are a bit over-the-top aggressive.. And you can't teach being aggressive with honey, but a stick!
All in all I think police dogs are cool! Much cooler than other known methods such as tasers or less-lethal shotguns

I don't get the point. If they want to use brutal force, why they make a dog insane?

These dogs should have bullet proof vest on. They do make them and it's a shame they don't care enough to protect them.

AWESOME!!!!!!! These pups are performing a service which is an example of exemplary courage, motivation and desire to do a job--WELL DONE. Instead of cribbing on how your gonna behave, or say they are too despondent on the criminal........FOR CRYING OUT LOUD... did you hear the GUNSHOTS??? AND they ran into the line of fire.. LETS SEE YOU BE THAT BRAVE!!! In this day and age more are needed and God bless those shown in the video and their comrades...four-legged and two. 
My humblest admiration to all of you keepers of the law.

These dogs are trained to do this. The men being attacked are decoys.as for the cop getting nailed, those are the risks, the cop put HIS hand down by the dogs face the dog did not turn to attack. these dogs have that drive BORN into them they are not beat to become that way. They love what they do. Before you jump on me,I have seen them trained that is how I know. They are some of the most LOVING dogs.
