@ #6: if you're going to insult a group of people, at least learn how to spell better than a two year old.

And as to the title: it's not the weapon that failed, it's the grunt who failed to attach the barrel properly after cleaning, an alien concept to Europeans. They run away at the first sign of conflict. No shots fired = no need to clean the weapon.

Care to try again, Marko_D?

In US Army happening it all the time. Many people die because weapons don't work in the war. In my hands works weapons great. Never had problem. But I have seen US solders in Afghanistan and there was it usual. It scared hell out of me:S

That has to be one of the strangest comments I've read on here .

#9, no offence, but Europeans fought way more wars than americans did.

And second of all, we don't feel the need to go to someone else's country just to fight. Exception: thanks in WW2 or mother russia would have owned us all. :)

Hehe! :D #6 needs to brush up his english and #9 needs to brush up the facts. Thou I doubt the germans could won WW1, but thanks to the americans it was ended much earlier and thereby avoiding a much more disastrous ending. Thou it come somewhat later - with WW II ... :( - - - -
But the only special with this vid is that i got captured, it happends now and then in any army. Sometimes with deadly outcome... :(

For 21, quite simple he would get the machine gun back to firing ASAP and after the battle his squad leader train him as long as he sees fit so that the barrel never ever fall out again, at least after that guy has assembled the gun.

The reason the barrel came off was one of two reasons. One the operator of the weapon failed to adjust the headspace and timing incorrectly. Secondly (which is more likely of two) his fellow soldiers are playing a trick on him. They just placed the barrel on the weapon and did not screw it in and they loaded the weapon with blanks to prevent injury.
