I once threw a similar goal, but it was from the center of the court (and probably was even smaller than a real basketball field), my shot was even more lucky than his since my eye-hand/arm/leg coordination is BAD :D

but that goal was 5% skill and 95% luck, and even though it is a lucky shot it is still badass because it won the game!

#1 he will feel his ribs for a week I think :)

Does that win the game? I thought that once the buzzer had gone the game was over (therefore it wouldn't matter if the ball went in or not). Excuse my lack of bb knowledge :D

Still luck or not, awesome shot

#5 It counts when the ball is in the air when the time runs out

Ah so as long as it's thrown before the buzzer it counts, thanks for clearing that up.

if im correct...ive seen this vid before on snotr itself....

but still that is one heck of a shot....

#(removed comment) it is not a fake....what...if it was a fake then you could clearly see the outline of the path the ball takes as it is mid air... (it would be all fuzzy around that area...)

:S , I didn't see yet any team celebrates for loosing a game. How can you say that it's a fake?

There's two indications for it being staged: The first is the camera zoom in the beginning from the scoreboard to the event, but I guess in the last seconds of the game people might do that. But the other one is more unusual: The shot of the girl. Hobby filmers usually just hold the camera on the event and do not film pretty babes in between (with a pretty good cut, if I might add). That's what you do in a TV production.

But overall it looks pretty real to me, unlike a lot of other videos on snotr.

that was either very lucky or very accurate

Hmm While those are good points, I'm voting this is not fake. While difficult it is not that unusual for this to happen. Also, as far as production value goes it could be local news footage. We see this style production on the local news all the time. Oh and lastly its one continuous shot and the ball never goes out of frame.

Of course this isn't fake. Shots like this happen every day. I've done it a couple times myself just practicing. It's not as difficult and rare as some of you seem to think. However it certainly is sensational when such a shot wins a game.

Erm...probably missing something here, but does the scoreboard not say period 3 ? Surely to be a game winning shot, that should be saying period 4. Great shot, but surely you want him on the court for the 4th quarter rather than in the ER with multiple fractures ?
