This is just not supposed to be funny, its supposed to be a critic against the (american I presume) Healthcare system.
When I saw the michael moore movie "sicko" I understood how happy I should be by living in Norway, which is one of the best countries to live in.
I still want to live in the US a few years : )

I agree with #3 but I would never dream of living in The US of A since it seems to very dangerous due to very bad health care and poor education system. But I like USA. No offense.

People slag off the National Health Service in the UK... long waiting times etc. But really, it isn't that bad. It is free which is important - anyone can get help, a homeless man to a rich man. There's problems in it, there's issues that the government are always saying they'll fix, but at the end of the day, the NHS in the UK is good enough.
I heard a horror story where some guy in America lost 2 fingers in an accident, and he could only afford to get one finger put back on since he had no insurance and was funding it himself. In the UK, he'd have got both fingers on for free.
I've often thought America's too big for its own good. It's just too big for one solution, too many people, too many diversities etc. Don't get me wrong, the place is awesome and I'd love to tour about, but for one country, too many people for one government to sort out.
We're barely just getting it right in the UK, and look how big we are..

#6 In the US if you lose fingers and have insurance, they put them back on. If you dont have insurance they may decide that one of those fingers has shall we say, spoiled. or some other excuse. by law they have to treat you if you have life threatening problems. Then they send you 20,000$ medical bills. Im up to 10 grand due to a bad head on collision. They gave me generic weak ass drugs, but they fixed my broken ribs and even drove me to the hospital on one of those spiffy meat wagons.

If healthcare is so terrible in the US, why do people from other countries come here when they have serious conditions or are in need of potentially dangerous surgeries? Maybe because it's not safe, or the wait is too long in their own country?
And the whole "free healthcare" thing cracks me up. Nothing is free. If your government is footing the bill, they're paying it with your own taxes. I'd rather hang on to that money and choose my own heathcare provider and services... thank you very much.

The whole point of the NHS being 'Free' healthcare, is that it's Free at the Point of Delivery! If you find yourself injured in a car accident in the UK, you won't be faced with some clown demanding to see any health insurance before they'll let you in the hospital. It's Free! But there's a cost to this Free service which has to be borne by every UK citizen via their taxes.
And the point about lousy USA healthcare is that your 'system' is crap. That's not a criticism of your doctors and surgeons, who are amongst the best in the world.
Oh, and I thought the clip was very funny.

#9 You are working under a false premise.Every hospital in America is required BY LAW to treat any and every one who shows up at the emergency room and needs medical help. No 'clown' is going to want to see your proof of health insurance before you get treatment after any type of accident. Even the homeless vagrants get the same treatment.
From what I have read in the UK people over 60 are not able to have some major surgeries (transplants and such) because it is considered a waste of organs to use them on someone who is that old.I do not know if that is true. Maybe that is why so many foreigners come here for major operations and treatments?
The Government doesn't run anything efficiently so I never want to see them try to run our health care system.

#11 If you are relying on "Mr.I Hate America" Michael Moore to educate yourself about the US then you are going to remain as ignorant as you now sound. You speak in cliches (MacDonald's reference)with no real knowledge.
#10 is exactly correct about hospital emergency room regulations pertaining to having to treat anyone who needs medical care when they come in.

Argh enough of the jingoism!
#11 Emergency treatment is ALWAYS carried out in the states, you may get a huge bill afterwards but you will never be turned away due to lack of insurance. Minor treatments which could improve the quality of life but are not essential may be turned down by insurance companies but this has nothing to do with the medical profession, we all know that insurance companies are bastards that will do anything not to pay out right?
#10 People over 60 are not excluded from major operations in the UK because its a waste of organs, people over 60 are only denied treatment when other factors make the success rate extremely low and the operation dangerous, ie heart bypasses in old people who are excessively obese which have an extremely low success rate and is more likely to kill the patient than cure them.
Listen to #12, i may disagree with the way it's said but it is true, never base your arguments on a single source of information, especially when you have little understanding of the subject or are unable to cross reference the information via several trustworthy (if possible) sources.
Lets forget the flame war and enjoy the vids, if you want to slag someone/something off aim at the insurance companies which do their best to avoid paying out and the pharmcutical companies which overcharge for medication, leave those who are trying to do the best they can with the system they've got out of it.
Oh and one last thing (as if this post wasn't already too long)
#10 The Government doesn't run anything efficiently so I never want to see them try to run our health care system.
Never a truer thing said, no matter which country you mean.

yeah! I can't agree more with #8!
Stop socialising my country. I dont wanna pay for someone else's disease! Why should I pay for irresponsable people that smoke or drive cars? No more taxes! dont wanna pay for any freeway that I wont use. I pay for my own security, even i have my own firemen! Stop caring about others, I take care of my own family. I wont put a penny, pay for your own war!

Here is an example of how poorly the "national" health care systems work.At least the Canadians are able to quickly get over the border to get needed medical care in the US,the Brits have to pay their own way or suffer under their own inadequate plan.

#16 Fox has shown facets of Obamacare that the mainstream liberal media has ignored and which the MAJORITY of Americans do not want or agree with. Now the plan is going to fine anyone who does not sign-up for government run health care! Since you have always lived under a socialist government I guess you just can't understand free people wanting to set their own course and take on responsibility for themselves.
Fox is also the ONLY news outlet that alerted the public to the fact that Obama had selected a goddam communist to be the "green jobs czar".Obama has surrounded himself with shady characters with communist/socialist ideas and it stinks. He has turned out to not be the candidate he said he was.
