The PEN Story

An amazing stop-motion video by Olympus dedicated to the comeback and the 50th anniversary of the PEN series. For this project, 60,000 pictures have been shot, 9,600 prints were developed and nearly 2,000 pictures have been shot again. According to the guys from Olympus, no post-production or special effects were used.

Nice clip but what puzzels me is if its stop motion why do they keep moving the damm camera in that jerky motion ? and well nice clip but bloody boring had to flick threw that one

I loved this vid. The technical foresight and planning to go into some of the sequences and transitions was amazing.

This video should really give credit to the stop motion wolf pig video created by dokugyunyu. its identical in terms of concept but? i still prefer the wolf pig one

If the camera videoing the commercial was a bit more steady it would look awesome. But at times you can't really tell whats happening. Olympus should get help from the ad masters (Sony, Honda and Audi), their ads are flipping creative and the Audi ones are hilarious.

wow....... how many pictures were used? that took 50 years of pictures but unknown time to be made
