Dont people worry about getting hit by the bullets on the way back from getting shot straight up? The force from a free falling bullet is enough to penetrate the skull.
And man they're driving fast from what seems like a populated area.
Russia civilized? Bah...
wedding or special forces mobilization? it's almost just black cars and SUV's and none of the cars had white garnishs.
#5 srry to disapoint u but the max speed of a falling bullet is useless because of it's small mass...try some watch mithbusters if u don't belive me ![]()

#7 If that is true, then the news in the dutch media is not correct.
Two weeks ago a guy was killed in a riot by a police bullet.
The news story is that the police officer fired a warning shot into the air, and that the bullet killed the guy when it came back down......

Like in Bulgaria, SAME but 50 times bigger. (Bulgaria was meant to be the 51-st state of the USSR). You MUST love Russia
Russias biggest drug cartel kingpin's daughter married Russias biggest gun trafficking mafia-boss's son
She sells seashells by the seashore
#11 the police have a rule, the first shot is at assailant, second shot is a warning shot in the air.#14, Good observation and I still can't say that three times in a row.

#13 is not right.
I am Bulgarian. It's true that there are many cars, but they are to deliver guests to the wedding party which starts immediately after the wedding ceremony, and it's considered as a duty to deliver your guests to the party. Usualy these are friends with cars.
well i never knew, that its police work to deliver guests to wedding ceremony! bah, i need 2 learn more....
PS: she's out of seashells, i just went to buy some, but all gone!

#7 You're wrong. I work as an EMT and Last 4th of July I personally responded to a call where a woman had been struck by a falling bullet. It penetrated the top of her shoulder and severed the subclavian artery. She bled to death before we arrived.
The mythbusters use pigs as human substitutes. Pig skin is much thicker and tougher than human skin. Pig skulls are also much thicker and tougher than human.

#21, i havent seen the episode in question, but dont mythbuster usually use ballistics gel which almost perfectly resembles human tissue?
#22 yes they do, #21 is talking out of his ass. The only response he has done is about a women who had been shot from above. NOT from a person who is shooting a bullet up. This is almost common sense if you actually took hardcore physics classes.
on mythbusters they shoot the directly up so the bullet just goes up and then falls back down at harmless speed. People who have been hit and killed by someone firing up in air is because they have fired the gun at a slight angle meaning the bullet arcs though the air and has most of its speed
Bullets fired into the air maintain their lethal capability when they eventually fall back down.
busted / plausible / confirmed
In the case of a bullet fired at a precisely vertical angle (something extremely difficult for a human being to duplicate), the bullet would tumble, lose its spin, and fall at a much slower speed due to terminal velocity and is therefore rendered less than lethal on impact. However, if a bullet is fired upward at a non-vertical angle (a far more probable possibility), it will maintain its spin and will reach a high enough speed to be lethal on impact. Because of this potentiality, firing a gun into the air is illegal in most states, and even in the states that it is legal, it is not recommended by the police. Also the MythBusters were able to identify two people who had been injured by falling bullets, one of them fatally injured. To date, this is the only myth to receive all three ratings at the same time.
