Deep Green, the pool-playing robot

This robot (named Deep Green) will beat you big time when playing pool. Luckily this tool also developed ARPool, which will help you play pool by drawing lines on the table.

That was freaking awesome. Just think if you had one of these to play with how quickly you could be a super bad ass at pool. I mean I know there are naturals out there but for the rest of us that would make you a master in no time. Although I still think "english" might still be tricky even with that.

#3 it's only make you a master if you payed attention to the suggested angles, i rekon most people would be to busy watching the pretty lines to even know why they sunk the ball, and when the line aren't there they might have half an idea.

The lines might help you a little, but a good pool player always sets up the next 2 or 3 (or more!) shots ahead of time. That requires strategy and knowing how hard to hit the ball (also spin), to get the cue-ball to end up where you want it for the next shot. The lines won't tell you that information. The shots shown seemed pretty easy (to me at least) without the lines.

Wow!!! Amazing if we pool our resources into less creative ideas, we could have a sinking feeling about our outcome. Looking at this reminds me just how deep our colleges pockets really are. That takes some real balls to post how you got snookered into using all your energies to make a new scientific table. :D

Sorry, it really is a cool table. I am still trying to come up with an actual use for the table though. It is not something that will be practical in any measure as it will not make enough money to be practical, it will not provide enjoyment for enough people to be entertaining, and it is obviously too expensive to mass produce in quantity or quality. :S
