Interesting but typing on this would suck due to it being just touchscreen. They could do tactile touch for the keys but still doesn't replace a real keyboard. Maybe a breakaway keyboard of some sort would work.

Hey, it is only a concept design. Just like those hundreds of concept cars at car shows that never get to production. There is a problem designing a power supply to this thing.

If you haven't noticed the cylinder that the "thing" is wrapped around is the power supply.

this uses OLED technology and will be the future of electronic technology

#4 I'm betting the cylinder is supposed to be the CPU. Look at all the ports built into that unit, plus they even highlight the main power button @ 1:13 .

#10 it's not the CPU, because you see it being used as a tablet, no wire attached. I think it's supposed to be power & peripherals.

Can you please stop voting people with useful info like #8 down? You haven't even had the decency to find words against it!

it can be both the cpu and the power supply, maybe by using some kind of new ultra high speed wifi protocol and WItricity you could accomplish it, not sure about the rolling thing, i mean its not practical to keep rolling out and rolling in every time you want to use it(that sounded like im a veeery lazy person
)....by the way the guy has like a major wedgie issue going on while he walks.

What's the point of this sort of concept laptop? The screen may be possible but I don't see how enough computing power + cooling is gonna be fitted inside any time soon. By then this concept will be outdated to say the least. Also see problems using touch screen tech at the joints. Also the durability seems limited rolling up and unrolling such device.

I'd have it attached to my bat-utility belt. Then it would be the stuff of legend.

Well its about as much use as a bread bin, touch screens are the biggest load of crap ever invented i have yet to find one that works i mean the bloody iphone is crap you cant actually use it and you cant even use a stylus on it , might as well stick to using paper , and it looks like a gay handbag sorry if i want to look like a nerd ill carry my laptop in its lovely square case

Come on and think carefully! There is no medication for easily destroyed monitor screen surface, duh!!!

there is a reason so many things we make are not round or tubular.
Things like that are not space efficient.
Look at the way it's carried.
Better to have a normal laptop.
It might be a 'creative' idea, but not an improvement.
