If this was the first video I had ever seen of British comedy I'd think they have a sense of humor like that of a five-year-old.

#7 i hate to inform you that yes, all british humor is like this (well not all, but almost all)...i am not a fan of it either, it is always such obvious dry humor =X

This is a parody of many rubbish action films and although it's clearly outrageous, it not so much more outrageous than some of the action scenes coming out of Hollywood.
It is obviously not meant to be taken literally and this is key to the British sense of humour (remember the video with Hugh Laurie as a Policeman doing "Leg Work"?).
In that sense it is more developed than some other comedy shows that contain "obvious" jokes, as this encompasses surrealism and parody.
