lol how embarrasing. only just kept his dignity by not falling. ive been there before and seen one on a hourse on the front fall off before cuz the horse was jumping about. gotta love london
Haha I would have been so mortified if I was in his shoes cause you can't even make fun of yourself after!
I wonder if anyone have ever filmed those famous british guards that don't move all day... just to catch them failing...
Now that would be something close to a record
!
One that does 14 steps over and over is bound to fail
...
Cheers!

That soldier is an exceptional highly trained killing machine who will spend more than 6 months of the year in Afghanistan protecting this and other country’s. and then he will spend a period of time guarding his Queen on public duties. a job that he will be amen sly proud to carry out. Your recovery was second to none soldier, and if anybody thinks it is easy to slow match in hobnail boats on a slab pavement then think again. Proud to serve.
Total respect to you and your fallen friends.
Heroes every one

#16 Hobnail boots are no longer used its not the 1940`s anymore. Helping the poor folk in Afghanistan is one thing. Coming back home and doing that mundane crap is another.
If it's that hard to "slow match in hobnail boats on a slab pavement"...maybe the army should invest in a different variety of footwear?

Good thing the gun wasnt loaded, or that the safety was on. I seriously thought that he was really going to fall on his arse. I would have played it off the same way if that had happened to me, then laughed my ass off when i got off of guard duty later at the pub.

#18 so the army are using Hobnail BOATS to march on pavements eh? I'd say that that to walk in hobnail boats would be impossible. Better to stick with the Boots.
Like the poor dude in the vid, even you can make mistakes. ![]()
#18 Sorry dude.. Just read #16 comments properly and realised what you were saying. See, even I make mistakes.. ![]()

Hero or not, that soldier dropped his weapon. Where I come from that's 5 push-ups per piece. As I understand, the trigger assembly is worth a couple hundred alone. I'm glad he kept his composure.
