Much more fun than Santa! The santa we have in Australia doesn't throw children or fall off horses!

Whats worse is the guys dresssed up as black people are called "zwarte piet's" black peters raciest but tradition ....love the dutch

"Sinterklaas" is the predecessor of Santa Claus. It was a tradition in Holland, and America wrote about it.

Few decennia / centuries later, Sinterklaas became Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas) in America.

So in fact you're watching version 1.0 of your Santa Claus

Poor man. No horse likes "Sinterklaas". Our 1.2 version, the Santa Claus, is smarter, he gave up on horses and now rides reindeers lool.

hmm... you guys don't know alot about 'sinterklaas'

he is (was) not a predecessor or a racist
he helped orphins and such a phew 100 years ago in turkey and appaerantly spain..

the 'black peter's are black because sinterklaas is to old to climb down and up the chimney (hence the blackness of the peter's)

i think cuz america didnt have a Klaas it would be good for commerce

we dont celebrate X-mas on 5th Dec. (wtf?!)
we do it like the rest of the world on 25th Dec.

and sinterklaas's party is on the 6th Dec...so yeah almost in all of Europe kids get 2 times the presents

#4 Wrong: People in the Netherlands (and Belgium for that matter) celebrate BOTH 'Sinterklaas' AND Santa clause (which is called "Kerstman" over here).

You don't have to be half-irish half-dutch to get present twice!

funny as hell, but then I'm dutch
Yeah americans think santa claus is real but in fact he is fake while our sinterklaas is the only real original one.

Shame helping orphins changed into spoiling bratzzz.

Same goes for sint maarten (similar to halloween) wich was created as a day when rich would give a good meal to poor children.
Nowadays children come begging at the doors asking for candy.
