man, I don't know us law, but worst then sharia... first noone commits the crime, okay, there is the intention, but they were tricked. they never entered the situation by themselves, and not with force. otherways they ere chatting with some adults, who pretended to be minors... so in reality they never chatted with minors. I don't like pedofils, but this is hard... even for killing you got sometimes less jail. and the polanski process is also ridiculos. otherway maybe the next client would have been a judge, who apparently has sent the others to jail.

it's easy for everybody to hate these guys. violence in our society is glorified but anything slightly deviant with sex is repressed. that leads to all kinds of problems.

#6 - it is illegal to solicit a minor on the internet. Because no one is checking ID's at the keyboard, it is illegal to solicit someone REPRESENTING themselves as a minor.

#6. How can you take that view. This aint entrapment as far as im concernerd. When each of those men exposed was asked what they were doing they all said the same type of thing "Something wrong" in other words they F***N knew what they were doing and were trying to take advantage of what they thought was a vunerable child.
Sorry dude, but I have a daughter that age and if anyone made that statement you made to me in person, i would probably smack them in the gob.
Everyone of those men got what they deserved and i agree with #5 a worthwhile 10 mins spent but that last guy must of been watching to many cat vids on snotr

Its a pity that theres no law in Westren countrys that would permit the law to castrate these scum ( without the benifit of anasthetic ).

Its a hell of a shame we are not allowed to do the same sort of TV program here in the UK....I'd bet they would catch just as many.

This had me in tears, how many young lifes are blighted. Great program, Im in shock at how many men were caught and left to wonder how many still are out there.
We dont have this in the UK, wish we did.
Why does it take a TV show to do this???
So easy to create this trap, why dont the police do it.
After a longtime thinking the only way to punish these ######## is put them on an island, let them live out the rest of their lifes like 1800's. Locking them up... someone has to guard them and it costs 000's, money better spend on thier victems. 75% reoffend.
For ALL of them to plead not guilty, shows no remorse.
I have always been for children having webcams to actually see who they are talking to, no webcam no chat.

Truely shocked, I throught things were bad, i had no idea how bad, very disturbed over this and upset. All praise to the producers of the program.

2+2=5 is a mistake.

Grooming someone you believe is a minor, picking up supplies, and traveling to meet them is intentional.

It's shocking what these people would do (or do) to children and therefore they should be going to jail. No question.

But it's wrong to show their faces on national TV and it's also wrong to to measure all of them by the same yardstick.

Being paedophile and being violent does not automatically go together. These people are sick like drug addicts. And this trap they ran into was much of a temptation.

I don't wanna approve of what these people did.

I know of a psychiatric emergency office in my city and there are people calling, like: "I have sick fantasies. I don't want them. Can you please help me!" My point: Most of these people are not evil and not violent.

If you go about halfway down to the videos section, there's an overview of some of the people we've seen here - in addition to bringing up the point that some of these people had previous arrest records for sexual crimes, as well as one guy that was picked up on one of their stings, THEN went to a different city and was busted a SECOND time on the show.

#30 for example ( it is not the same, but it's the same principle ):
someone, came to your home with loaded gun, rope and the bag full of different knifes, after he was sending you a few "I will kill you" messages.
Now if police arrest him in your house, will you be thinking the same, that they have no right to do that, because he didn't commit any crime?
